Development Update
Rockingham Shopping Centre had been a fixture in the Rockingham area since it first opened its doors in 1970. The Centre recently completed a $160 million redevelopment in October 2009. The redevelopment saw the addition of a new Fresh Food Mall, a 500 seat Food Court, a Fashion Mall and an Entertainment and Lifestyle Precinct.
The Centre now boasts over 190 fresh food and specialty retailers, with Kmart, Coles, Woolworths and Target and the new 8 screen Ace Rockingham Cinema complex.
The newly developed Rockingham Shopping Centre is comprised of:
- An 8-screen Ace Cinemas Complex
- A Restaurant & Entertainment Main Street linking to the Transit Mall
- A 500+ seat Food Court
- A Fashion Precinct with a new mall housing mainstream national fashion brands for all the Family
- The newly refurbished Centre will comprise of 200 specialty stores, including 50 new specialty stores
- Refurbishment of existing Malls
- New Fresh Food Mall
- Refurbishment of Kmart and Target stores
- Substantial upgrade of Parent Rooms and Toilets
- Expansion of Car Parking

Rockingham Shopping Centre's new Restaurant & Entertainment Main Street, Syren Street, is now open and will be the first retail precinct of its kind in WA. Access to this street is available off Contest Parade, Central Promeonade and Civic Boulevard plus via Entry 5 (near Boost Juice) if you're already in the shopping centre. STAGE THREE
Rockingham Shopping Centre's new Fashion Mall opened in two stages - December 2008 and April 2009. The Fashion Mall December 2008 opening was shared with the Centre's new 500+ Food Court housing 11 stores.
STAGE TWO
Stage Two of the Centre’s Development was completed in September 2008 and included the refurbishment of the Kmart store plus new stores in the Kmart Mall.
STAGE ONE
Stage One of the Centre’s Development was completed in June 2008 with the opening of the Fresh Food Mall plus the opening/ refurbishment of stores near Coles.
Centre Upgrades
Car Parks
We wish to thank all our customers for thier patience whilst the Centre's car parks were modified and upgraded throughout 2009. All car parks are now complete.
The Underground Car Park is now fully available and is still accessible from the Target end of Council Avenue plus off Central Promenade. Please note: the Underground Car Park has no Disabled or Parents with Pram Parking.
Car Parks have now also been built at the back of Jetts Fitness plus under the new ACE Cinema Complex. Additional parking will also soon be made available to our customers opposite the ACE Cinema Complex with access off Contest Parade.
Public Transportation
The Rockingham Bus Station, previously located next to Rockingham Shopping Centre, has now closed. All services now run from the new Rockingham Train Station located on the corner of Ennis Avenue and Rae Road. The Rockingham Shuttle Service Bus (Route 555), which travels from the Rockingham Train Station to the Rockingham Foreshore, passes Rockingham Shopping Centre on the dedicated Transit Street which is accessible via Entry 6, near Target. The taxi ranks are located outside Entry 3 (near Bank of Queensland and ANZ), and outside Entry 5, near the Ace Cimena Complex. A Public Telephone is available near the Taxi Rank at Entry 3.
Centre Amenities
All Centre amenities have been upgraded as part of the Centre's development and are conveniently located throughout the Centre. Please refer to the Centre Map for locations.
